NOVA is a high-performance R package for predicting and visualizing cell-to-cell communication networks from single-cell and bulk transcriptomic data.

Details

NOVA uses connectomeDB2020, a manually curated ligand-receptor interaction database, to identify potential signaling interactions between cell types.

Key features:

  • Seamless integration with Seurat V4 and V5

  • Support for 21 species via HomoloGene mapping

  • Multiple visualization options

  • Differential communication analysis

  • Parallel processing for large datasets

Main Functions

ExtractEdges

Extract ligand-receptor mediated interactions

DiffEdges
